Coppersmith Barbet 

Bird Name :- Copper Smith Barbet
Location     :- Canary Hill, Hazaribagh                                     Jharkhand
Identification :- A small, brightly colored Barbet  with crimson forehead and patch on breast, yellow patches above and below eye contrasting with blackish hind crown and sides of head  yellow throat  dark streaking on belly and flanks, and bright red legs and feet.

Voice :- call is a loud  metallic  monotonous  repetitive tuk, tuk, tuk.....

Coppersmith Barbet best known for its metronomic call that has been likened to a coppersmith striking metal with a hammer.They make nest by making a hole in the tree.They generally eat fruits but sometimes take insects, especially winged termites.
